"Six Points" is a story about people from six countries in New York, a multi-ethnic society. Minorities of Indian, Italian, Chinese, Korean and Hispanic background talk about their lives in English with their own particular accents that reveal aspects of a multi-ethnic society that is American as it is not. Someone once wrote that “Everyone under Yeondoo Jung’s spot light becomes the main actor or actress in their own life.” New York’s streets are extremely familiar and unfamiliar in a way that a person can experience isolation within a crowd of people. By using a strobe, the artist turns crowded streets into a stage and everyone on the street becomes an actor or actress.
