"Blind Perspective" is a 40 meter long interactive media installation consisting of a head mounted display (the Oculus Rift) and 16 tons of trash sculpture. This installation reminds people of the 2011 disaster through the debris left behind by the tsunami. Working with a sonic technology research team at Seoul National University, an apparatus for the Oculus Rift was designed so that people could physically experience strolling in a beautiful forest while walking down a corridor of trash sculpture. To create this, the trees, plants, and landscapes of Akita, Japan were digitized. It is the first Oculus Rift experience for a museum space in which the viewer’s physical movements correspond to movement in physical space. Features of the two worlds correspond so that the viewer experiences a similar landscape geography in both worlds. 〈블라인드 퍼스펙티브〉는 머리 장착형 디스플레이(오큘러스 리프트)와 16톤의 쓰레기 조각으로 구성된 40m 길이의 인터랙티브 미디어 설치물이다. 이 설치는 쓰나미가 지나고 남은 잔해를 통해 사람들에게 2011년 재난을 상기시킨다. 서울대 음향공학 기술 연구팀과 함께 오큘러스 리프트를 위한 장치를 설계하여 쓰레기 조각의 복도를 걸으며 아름다운 숲을 산책하는 신체적 체험을 할 수 있도록 했다. 이를 위해 일본 아키타의 나무와 식물, 풍경 등을 디지털화했다. 관람객의 신체 움직임이 물리적 공간의 움직임에 부합하는 미술관 공간에서의 최초의 오큘러스 리프트 체험이다. 두 세계의 특징들은 관람객이 양쪽 세계에서 비슷한 풍경 지형을 경험할 수 있도록 한다.
