"Wonderland" is a work in which the artist collected 1,200 drawings from children aged 5 to 7 over four months, reinterpreting 17 of the drawings from each child to implement them as photographic images. The reason for using teenagers as models was that they visually convey the bodies of adults, while their minds were thought to be closer to the minds of the children who drew the original pictures. Children's imagination is infinite, and they look at our world with intrigue. At that age, children's fantasy transcends the imagination of adults, and entering between a reality-based medium (photography) and unrealistic visual ideas was a challenge for the artist. While visually reconstructing a child's 'pure' vision of our world, the artist hoped to create images that are contradictory yet still relevant from an adult's perspective. The photography series 'Wonderland', which shares fantasy and reality at the same time, can be a joy to the child who drew the picture, and simultaneously shows adults the ironic reality of life. The artist's hope is to express a child's perspective on our adults' world. 〈원더랜드〉는 작가가 4개월 동안 5세에서 7세 사이의 아이들에게서 1,200점의 그림을 수집하여 17개의 그림을 각각의 아이들의 그림을 재해석하여 사진 이미지로 구현한 작품이다. 10대 청소년들을 모델로 쓴 이유는 그들이 어른들의 몸을 시각적으로 전달하는 동시에 그들의 마음은 원래의 그림을 그린 어린이의 마음과 더 비슷하다고 생각했기 때문이다. 아이들의 상상력은 무한하며 우리 세계에 대해 흥미롭게 바라본다. 그 나이에 아이들의 환상은 어른들의 상상을 초월하고 현실에서 바탕을 둔 매체(사진)와 비현실적인 시각적 아이디어의 사이에 들어가는 것은 작가에게 있어 도전이었다. 우리 세계에 대한 ‘순수한’ 아이의 비전을 시각적으로 재구성하면서도, 어른의 관점에서 모순되나 여전히 관련성이 있는 이미지를 만들어 내기를 바랬다. 판타지와 현실을 동시에 공유하는 사진 시리즈 '원더랜드'는 그림을 그린 아이에게 기쁨이 될 수 있고 동시에 어른들에게 삶의 아이러니한 현실을 보여준다. 작가의 희망은 우리 어른들의 세계에 대한 어린이의 관점을 표현하는 것이다.
